Elizabeth “Liz” Archuleta begins her term on the �¼������ϲ� Board of Regents this week.

“Regent Archuleta's extensive history of leadership both within our state and nationally underscores her profound commitment to public service,” said �¼������ϲ� Chair Cecilia Mata. “Her breadth of experience, including her strong partnerships with rural and tribal communities, will no doubt enrich the board’s work.”

Regent Archuleta is a fourth-generation northern �¼������ϲ� native who has served as a county supervisor and in roles at the local, state and national level for the last 25 years. She currently serves Coconino, Apache and Navajo counties as president and CEO of the United Way of Northern �¼������ϲ�.

“I’m grateful to Governor Hobbs for giving me the opportunity to represent northern �¼������ϲ� and serve �¼������ϲ�,” said Regent Archuleta. “I plan to roll up my sleeves and get to work right away with my fellow regents to help shape the future of higher education in �¼������ϲ�.”

Initially and then again Tuesday, Regent Archuleta may serve for up to a year while she awaits Senate confirmation. She is replacing Lyndel Manson, whose term on the board has ended.
